Dear Parishioners,Lent is winding down and Easter is coming. This means we will be having our Holy Week liturgies from Palm Sunday (April 14th) to Easter Sunday (April 21st).
World Holy Name Week (WHNW), first established in 2008, has seen its biggest success so far this year. In 2013, around forty-three different ISKCON centers celebrated the week in some capacity with events designed to share, spread and become absorbed in the Holy Name of God. This year, WHNW organizers have already received reports from over fifty ISKCON centers from every continent in the world.
These last weeks of Lent and the beginning of Easter are a time to rededicate ourselves to our Christian faith. This is the time to do penance and to concentrate on conversion. Many of our parishioners have been attending daily Mass, coming to special religious services, and giving to charity.Do not become discouraged if you have not been paying attention to Lent, you can still benefit from this holy time of the year. Maybe Holy Week is a time to think more about your religious life. We meditate on the most basic mysteries of our faith. We reflect on the passion of Jesus on Palm Sunday and Good Friday.
On Holy Thursday, we contemplate the gift of the Eucharist. On Holy Saturday, we come together to remember our Baptisms. We have left darkness behind and have been enlightened by Christ. On Holy Saturday, we rejoice in the truth of the Resurrection of Jesus. We remember during this special time of year that we are never far from the mercy of God. Jesus came to show us the way, the truth and the life. I would encourage all parishioners to make attendance at our Holy Week celebrations a priority.

We try to schedule the services so that all might attend.I hope to see you at church on these inspiring days. Invite a friend to come with you.Blessings, Fr. Mark DeSutter, PastorP.S. The Today Tomorrow Together Campaign continues to have success.
If you have not made a pledge, please send yours in. So far, Christ The King, Sacred Heart and Seton Catholic School have collected over $4,000,000. All three institutions are approaching or exceeding minimum goals set by our fundraising group, The Steier Group.
Sacred Heart would like every stained-glass window sponsored in our church. We would also like to be able to add onto our church building so we could have a gathering space that is accessible for families and those in need. A nice drop off area and fully-accessed new restrooms that are user-friendly for all. Please help us get closer to our goals. We thank the parishioners who have given so far. Information about all this and an opportunity to pledge can be found at www.catholictogether.com.
