Gqrx is an open source software defined radio receiver (SDR) powered by the GNU Radio and the Qt graphical toolkit. Gqrx supports many of the SDR hardware available, including Airspy, Funcube Dongles, rtl-sdr, HackRF and USRP devices. Skywave Linux can also operate numerous types of SDR hardware, plugged in or on the local network. Downloading, installing and configuring SDR software can be difficult for many computer users; Skywave Linux eliminates the hassle by including several applications installed, configured, and ready to run.
Run Linux Command Every SecondIn this tutorial, you will learn a simple scripting techniques to monitor or keep a eye on a particular command in continuously running state similar to for every 3 seconds by default. We will not stop to discuss the reasons, why you would need to run commands this often. I believe everyone has different reasons for that in their daily jobs or even at home PCs and laptops. Use watch CommandWatch is a Linux command that allows you to execute a command or program periodically and also shows you output on the screen. This means that you will be able to see the program output in time.
By default watch re-runs the command/program every 2 seconds. The interval can be easily changed to meet your requirements. Monitor Memory Usage“Watch” is extremely easy to use, to test it, you can fire up a Linux terminal right away and type the following command: # watch free -mThe above command will check your system free memory and update the results of the every two seconds. Monitor Memory Usage in LinuxAs seen per the above output, you have a header, displaying information about (from left to right) update interval, command that is being executed and current time. If you wish to hide this header, you can use the -t option. The next logical question is – how to change the execution interval. For that purpose, you can use the -n option, that specifies the interval with which the command will be executed. This interval is specified in seconds.
Watch Linux Load AverageTo exit the command, press CTRL+C.Here, the 'uptime' command will run and display the updated results every 2 seconds by default. Monitor Progress of Copy CommandIn Linux, while copying files from one location to other using cp command, the progress of data is not shown, to see the progress of data being copied, you can use the watch command along with in real time. # cp ubuntu-15.10-desktop-amd64.iso /home/tecmint/ watch -n 0.1 du -s /home/tecmint/ubuntu-15.10-desktop-amd64.iso.
Another nice command is ‘at’ that executes the commands specified from the input stream at a given time. On Debian, it is provided by the package at.The nice thing about ‘at’ is that the time specification is quite flexible and intuitiveecho notify-send Hoops at now + 5 minuteecho notify-send Hoops at 10pmecho notify-send Hoops at 10pm tomorrowecho notify-send Hoops at 22:00 mondayBy itself t does not repeat but that can easily be done using a loop.for ((i=1;i.
A subreddit for the low-cost, DIY software defined radio (SDR) community. While originally dedicated just to the project, relevant legal content related to general SDR, RF and similar projects is also welcomed.Feel free to ask questions but please. Rtl-sdr'rtl-sdr' is a generic term for cheap USB digital TV (DVB-T) receivers that use the Realtek RTL2832U chipset, which can function as general purpose software defined radios (receive only). All rtl-sdr compatible devices employ the RTL2832U as an ADC and USB controller, but different RF tuners may be used.Note that rtl-sdrs do not transmit!Typical specs (some depend on specific tuner):. Cost: $5-45 USD. Frequency range: 24 - 1760 MHz (100 KHz - 24 MHz in direct sampling mode).
Max sample rate: 3.2 MS/s (2.6 MS/s in practice). Resolution: 8 bits/sample.
Noise figure. This script will install HDSDR,extIO, wine and gr-baz on Linux. I have always found the performance pretty good when compared to SDR# under mono. This script has been tested with the latest gnuradio live cd (Ubuntu 12.04 LTS gnuradio 3.72) but will probably work with other distros if the required software tools are available although some tweaking may be needed.

Although the script does most of the work, the critical part is probably when ExtIO and HDSDR are installed. I have attempted to give hints in the script's comments to help with this section. I highly recommend you read the script before installing and have it available during the install. HDSDR can be installed and run in the live mode if sufficient memory, 4G or so, is available. When booting from the live cd note that the network defaults to a USRP connection.
Make sure you have a tested internet connection and connected rtl dongle before using this script. I think, but am not sure (tired), I fixed it by accidentally selected usrp for input, but then the same dialog comes up, followed your remote settings, pick RTL, etc. This seems more stable.but yeah it works. Gnuradio 2.7 in terms of the gr-baz build, gnuradio build is mine not Ubuntu's because I had some version problem in the past.anyway was pretty easy, thanks. I'd encourage others to try because I've seen windows sdr plus DLLs or extension APIs and said ha ha wine.no. But it works w the baz server.
